I've just made the switch from Windows and am pleased with everything EXCEPT one bug I cannot fix.
I have installed Thunderbird as email client + Lightning as my calendar. I cannot get the sound to play when I have a new appointment (Lightning) or a new email arrives (Thunderbird). I don't really care about the email - although there are third party programs that will do this - but I'm missing appointments.
I see that others have had this problem for a while and I have followed various discussions on this board but I don't understand much of the language. They also don't seem to arrive at a solution.
Has anyone found a fix?
There was mention of a patch for the problem but no link to where to find it.
Can anyone help please?
