I'm running ubuntu 11.04 beta 2 and the unity desktop, upgraded from 10.10.
I really really want to lock the desktop with Windows key ("Super/Mod4") +L . I can change the shortcut to e.g. control+alt+L from system shortcut settings but windows+L does not work.
I wonder why the win+L shortcut has not there by default, as some other windows-like shortcuts are there.

Unity seems to bring some built-in shortcuts which I couldn't alter yet. I have the same problem that I used Win+T (or Super-T) to open a terminal on a remote server. Now it opens the f..ng trash folder.
Does someone know where we have to alter the unity keyboard shortcuts?

Ctrl-Alt-t opens a terminal window now.
I'm interested in how to lock the screen... either with a keyboard shortcut or shortcut button. Anyone know how to do either of those?

Ctrl+Alt+L should do it, like mentioned in the OP:

You can change the key combination in "Keyboard Shortcuts", except for combos that involve a Super key, apparently.
You can also create a launcher for the actual command:
gnome-screensaver-command --lockGreetings.
