I visit Ubuntugeek today and get the warning from Google.

I'm guessing that has something to do with the content of the ads displayed on the page

HRWiki had this same issue if you visited DevonM's userpage on that wiki, it was because Chrome's filter blocked the user's website due to malware, thus blocking the HRWiki page that had any links to said site (or files hosted there.)

Been there twice now but I'm using adblock with no script as well and I don't get any warning as some of you folks see. GL :)

Just tried the site for the first time ever and Symantic popped up a warning that an exploit had been detected and stopped... definitly some bad mojo going on there at the moment :/

I visit ubuntugeek regulary and have none such message.

But I do check scripts I download and commands I use, to see if their safe.

It wouldn't have to do with the content of the site. Some of us do have to use Windows part of the time, so embedded malware can be a problem (although Firefox is generally safe regardless.)

This website has been compromised by malware. Somebody has hacked into this site and added a dirty piece of HTML code which redirects to xivee.com [-X

"Oh hey look, a site about Ubuntu... let's hack it and target Windows users, because Windows users will TOTALLY care about whatever's on this site!"
