I'm trying out Kubuntu (via USB stick) on my netbook, however I want to actually try out the desktop edition with an actual file manager and so fourth. I thought that's exactly what I downloaded but it loads up a clearly "made-for-netbook" interface like UNR or Jolicloud. Is there any way I can actually use the regular Kubuntu desktop?

[update] I installed the kubuntu-desktop through synaptic except it's the same thing, it's the netbook version... hmm

Thanks!

Load up the System Settings program. Then click "Workspace Behavior", then choose the Workspace tab. Then change the workspace type from Netbook to Desktop.
