View Full Version : [ubuntu] Trackpad stops working on network connection

Hello all,
I'm having a strange problem. When I first boot Ubuntu, the trackpad works fine. Then, my computer automatically connects to my wifi network and as soon as I get the "connection established" message, I can no longer move my cursor with my trackpad. I can still click, but that's all.

I cannot use the mouse again until I remove and then re-add the driver module (bcm5974), at which point it works perfectly again. Any ideas why this is happening?

I'm running the 11.04 beta on a Macbook Pro (5,3), but it was also happening on the 10.10 release.

Thanks in advance.

The purpose of a beta is not to have a running system, but to report bug. Would be good if you could post it here:
