Just want to know. I have 2 widescreens right now. Post pictures of your setups if they are interesting.

One 1680x1050 (primary) and one 1280x1024 (fullscreen Rythmnbox most of the time) that I got free from a friend for trying to fix his computer. It's really off to the side, so I can't think of another use for it. If it were closer it'd block my left speaker.

I have one 1280x1024, but want to replace it with one 1600x1200. Widescreen monitors annoy me. Vertical space is important.

A 1920x1080 24" Monitor and a 1366x768 HDTC 37"
Great for my MythTV use and normal day to day stuff.

Would networked computers (2 desktops, 1 laptop) count on this poll? I do have them all turned on during the day doing things. :P

Usually just my netbook screen, but I occasionally connect a 17" 3:4 on my home office desk and spread out a bit.

Most of the time, I have one wide screen on my desktop and the built-in screen on my netbook.

However, I do occasionally disconnect the screen from the desktop and plug it into the netbook. That's mostly if I'm working on a presentation or website page, because the netbook has a better graphics processor.

I don't know why I've never done it before but you just made me try this. :) That's a lot of vertical space!

Why do people do this? I would much rather have space going side to side than up and down.

This on the main computer, except the 1280x1024's usually playing a windowed world of warcraft. Also got a TV hooked up to the HTPC a few inches away, plus two monitors hooked into a network router/ftp server. I would completely go tri monitor if I had more ports.

Well whichever one you would consider you primary I guess.

I was just trying it out. I think it's easier to work side by side with windows than above and below.

Lovin the Chrome, best browser ever other than regular Google Chrome. I really like that background. Could you post it here, please? I would greatly appreciate it.

How many screens do I have? Well, let's see... There's two windows for each of the bedrooms on the back of the house, and two windows by the dining room, and one for the front bedroom.

Therefore, I have five screens.

Nice. = ) But you have windows running on all of them - yuck.

It's useful when you have a single document taking up the screen. It's indispensable for text documents in some situations (such as copy editing.) With a desktop machine, if I had the cash, I would prefer to have one of two monitors in portrait format (smaller, so the height would be about that of the widescreen.) On my netbook, I frequently switch to portrait format for more comfortable reading when I don't need the keyboard.
