Upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04

Hi there, I have what it may seem to most of you a nooby question but it is the first time for me that a new version of Ubuntu comes out, so I want to know if I will have to do a new "clean" installation of 11.04 when it's released or will it be some sort of upgrade from software center. If I have to do a new installation is there a way to reinstall all the programs I have all at once or maybe take a backup of them or will I have to install them all one by one?

When the new version is out, there will be a special upgrade notification in the Update manager window.
