Whenever I select Ubuntu from the selection menu on start-up, I get greeted with text that says I need to change my settings to 1600x1200@60hz.
I believe this is screen resolution, so I changed it to that yet I still get the error message.

Does anybody know what is happening? I am installing 10.4 as the latest version doesn't seem to work on my system. I'm a newbie at this so I'm sorry if there is an obvious fix!

Hi!

Are you able to enter into Ubuntu?

If so,

goto:

system....preferences..monitors

You can select resolution.

Make sure you click on apply.

Unfortunately not. It just has a black background and a moving white box that has text in it.
