Can you install using the alternate CD?

Remember to have wired internet access while installing.

Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) Beta 2 (http://www.releases.ubuntu.com/natty/) ??? is that the alternate release you mean? I can try it. So far I have had 2 machines work pretty well (older ones) and now two not at all...

Thanks for the reply, first I had heard of needing wired internet access.

I don't think he meant 11.04, he was referring to the "alternate cd install" not a different version. :P

This link is for 10.04.2, the link he gave you is what I used and it will let you choose the version if you want 10.10.
