Hello community cafe games,
I have about 500 to 600 mb's free to download and I have no idea what to download
so i'm asking the community for some friendly help and advice on what to download, be it a linux distro a game or anything thats under 500 - 600 mb's,
the thing that seems most appealing I will download, deadline is 24 hours after this thread is made , the winner will get a trophy I will make in inkscape :KS

Thanks for the help :)

(All the above is true, I was originally going to post this in the Community cafe but then thought of the trophy thing )

Edit: deadline extended to 24 hours

Check this cool thing FrozenByte has thrown us!!!

http://www.humblebundle.com/

I know I'll download it somewhere in the next two days, it has almost full Linux support and comes with source code.

PS. That IS the way games should be sold these days!

Exactly! I'm not saying every game should be pay-what-you-want but I'm tired of paying 70 freaking euros for every game. I know they cost a lot of money to make but look at movies. Most of those cost a whole bunch more and we don't pay 70 for a DVD. </rant></offtopic>

<ontopic> If you want my distro recommendation, try Arch. If you want my game recommendation, try UFO Alien Invasion. (http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/News) Or better yet. Get the original X-Com series off of steam and run that in Dosbox.

If you have a good monitor, try downloading a couple of 1080p movie trailers, or you could even download the short film Big Buck Bunny in 1080p quality.

Tux Games sale is still on as I write this:

http://www.tuxgames.com/

I bought "Sacred - Gold" RPG, for $13- + ~$5- postage to Oz. Great deal for a game with a huge world (comparable to Oblivion in size).
