looking for a file-manager type software to use with linux for adding subtracting and maintaining files on my wife's sony e-reader. thoughts?

i've heard good things about it. not sure of any specifics regarding sony.

+1 for Calibre, it's easy to use and apparently supports the Sony Reader.

yes, calibre supports the sony readers.

It will even do format conversion for you.
