):P Hello, I have decided to run Ubuntu on my new system when the rest of the parts come in the mail. We have spent a lot on this system and I do not want to ruin it with M$ and was wondering if anyone here has had any good experience unlocking there systems full potential in Ubuntu, and if so what tools did you use?

You overclock with settings in the bios on an enthusiast class motherboard and unlocked CPU meant for that. If you didn't buy such a motherboard and an unlocked CPU, then you can't do it.

Hi!

I wonder if there is a reason to overclock w/Ubuntu?

Besides possibly frying a mobo, Ubuntu is extremely fast even w/a celeron chip and 2gb ram.

Add a ssd and it will fly!

I have a 790fx-gd70 MBD I'll just stick with the bios then, thanks.
