Hi guys,

I used e17 a lot in lucid by using a karmic repos I found. Then I found that e17 is in the maverick repos, so I installed it, and it keeps crashing several times just after I login (it'll freeze, then say that something crashed). Does anyone know where/how to get a stable version of e17?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm using Xubuntu 10.10 x64, if that helps.

I don't know how old the version is the the repos, but e17 is is still Alpha software, so no officially stable release exists.

Having said that, I use it as my only wm, and have been for several years with few issues. Your best bet is to compile direct from SVN (http://www.enlightenment.org/p.php?p=contribute&l=en), and keep it up to date fairly regularly - bugfixes are happening quite quickly now.

Steve.
