Hi. I'm a new member to the forums and a new user to Ubuntu in general.

It's a neat OS, I love it. It's preferably better than Linux Mint IMO.
But I've been wondering this. I recently set up Ubuntu via the Windows Installer.
There's an option on the installer that says "Installation size". The default value of that component was 17GB on my system. I was wondering if the 'installation size' determined the amount of HD space on the Ubuntu OS.

Help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

If you accepted that, then your partition for the OS will be 17GB. There will also be a swap partition of about 1 or 2 GB
The installed system will not use much of that 17GB ATM
