I want to upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04 from Ubuntu netbook remix 10.10, When I go to the update manager and check for updates it says that no updates were found, It also doesnt say that there is a new version available, I've checked my settings and its set to normal upgrades. I know I am probably doing something stupid wrong...

Worked for me :To upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 on a desktop system, press Alt+F2 and type in "update-manager -d" (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '11.04' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hi and welcome to UF

It's a really bad idea to upgrade to an unstable/beta version of Ubuntu for your main OS. If you feel you must, then check some things here first. Especially the "sticky" threads.

All support questions for Natty should be posted there. It's difficult to get support for Natty, and you'll probably need it soon after you attempt the upgrade.

You may also want to check this thread.
