Hi ):P

Yesterday my PC failed to boot (ram trouble), I fixed that today but the system dosn't boot, it shows me the screen testing the disk and then loggs the main window but nothing can be done (expect moving the mouse), I tryed the safe boot mode, selected to repari packages but couldn't connect to the internet, so I wanted to use the startx command but in vain, the screen remains black.
So I wanetd to know if there's any possibility to repari the system using the Xubuntu CD for example (something like the repair mode on windows using its CD) ?

Thank you very much :D

What happened to your RAM, and how did you fix it? Any other details you can think of that might be important?

Have you tried running memtest for a minimum of 8 hours to check your RAM?

Also, please read this...

sounds more like a video driver or card problem... not ram

I agree, it does sound more like a problem with the graphics card, but if it was working before the RAM was "fixed", why wouldn't it work now?

If you want to check some other boot options in case it is a problem with your graphics card, go here...
