Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10. I was installing kubuntu-desktop, but not from Ubuntu repositories instead from https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/backports. KDE 4.6.2 installed while in repository there is KDE 4.5.

I read this nice blog post (http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/puregnome) from psychocat about how-to restore pure gnome on Ubuntu. But I have a question, would that method works on my computer or there is another way that i should do to purge KDE from Ubuntu?

Need advise please...

Well I would purge that PPA first but yes. I have used what was posted there and it works fine.

Hi,

I think that is the best way to do, but my internet connection is ugly right now (15 kB/s :() and ppa-purge tried to downgrade many packages. So, i decided to directly ran command from psychocat and that was going well, broke nothing.

Big thanks for your advise.
