View Full Version : [ubuntu] Files Recovery After Installing Ubuntu

Halo Experts again , i am facing a very compliacted task. JUst help me out.

I installed Ubuntu a couple of days before. I would tell you the steps i used

Load Ubuntu Live Cd

Choose Install along operating system

Choose Use Full Disk

and then installed

When the installation completed i was neverable to boot into windows

i can even think of loosing the files.

Can you guys please tell me a way to get my previous files and boot back into windows again.

When you told the install to use the full disk what did you thing would happen to the data and your windows that was on it? You told the install to destroy everything and use the entire disk. Your date and windows is gone forever.
You should have install it along side your windows not over it. You screwed up, and did it to yourself.
Now did you backup your data before installing it? This is the first thing you should of done. When you have something you don't want to lose you needed to put it somewhere safe just in case something goes wrong, like this.
I am sorry to bring you this bad news but everything is gone that was on your hard drive.
