I am using lubuntu 10.10 on my netbook, a rebadged MSI U100, I believe, and it is great; very fast and stable.

I would like to use the Pictures folder screensaver from gnome-screensavers, I think, but when i install gnome-screensavers package, and all the extra xscreensaver packages as well, the pictures folder SS is not listed. Can anyone tell me where I might find it?

Do you mean the cosmos and community wallpapers? If that is, they are in usr > share > backgrounds.

No, not that, but the SS called "Pictures Folder" which by default shows everything in random order and recursively from /home/<user>/Pictures. I always set my gnome desktops to use that and would also like it for LXDE, Lubuntu.

Thanks, gogolink.

That was one thing I have never thought about before, nor used. It needed a bit of configuration to get it to do what I wanted, but I think it is now good to go.
