It's entirely possible. An ARM computer running ARM distro. I'll post screens as/when I get them.

PS: Not an April fools joke :)

It's so illegal that Steve Jobs personally travels to the homes of people that do this and beats them with his bare hands.

Please tell me how this is illegal?

Thank you

It's not (no laws have been broken).

It's probably against some terms of use clause (this is Apple, after all), which may *theoretically* mean they could take try to sue you for breach of contract - but a situation like that has never been tried in a court yet.

It was prior to the US Gov't saying that jailbreaking was not in violation of the DMCA.

DMCA also comes pretty close to saying it is illegal to pick your nose. This tells us that [political talk pre-emotively censored].

GRUB doesn't run on ARM. April fools. (Sure would be nice if it were real, though)

it's against the natural order. thou shalt not interfere with the beauty of the ipad and the simplicity of the mac. and the power of unix.

On embedded devices, GRUB is usually not used, or very very rarely.

It was using a text mode bootloader which I assumed was grub, but it may not be. As I said, I'll get screens and possibly a video in two weeks, maybe less.

The almighty Steve Jobs did decree, and thus it is so.

You sure he doesn't hurt himself doing that? I figured he would have hired someone out to do it for him, and he'd call it the "iBeatdown". It's magical.

I just got Ubuntu installed in my spaceship..
Stellarium has been hacked to work as navigation and controls.
Now I can really make use of my Ubuntu flight suit.

I just got ubuntu on my car, now it never crashes and I can drive it wherever I want. At start up I can choose what type of car it is.
