So I was sitting in my Linux class emailing myself my lab when my professor comes up to me and tells me how he's recommending me for an internship with a Linux based IT company that's visiting next Wednesday (I don't know their name), but he told me all I had to do was bring in my resume (which I don't have one, doi!). He said it was because I had so much enthusiasm for Linux, and the fact that I picked up on things really quickly (I have a 103% in the class :D ). I'm so excited! Computer Science isn't even my major, but still it's another awesome employment opportunity. I could even get my Linux+ and Red Hat certification through them.

I hope you like desert heat and sand and aren't afraid of loud noises.

Assuming the job is local: congratulations.

Oh I thought he was saying a computer/server room was hot and sandy or something. It's not hot now, it's just getting warmer.

Nothing that a swimming pool and glass of iced tea can't fix.:P

Congrats on the internship. Sounds fun.:)

Thanks everyone! I love the world of Linux, and to me this just sounds like an awesome job if I get hired (but with my professor's recommendation I'm sure I'll get it).

When they send you overseas to do some "programming", you might feel differently.

They're not going to send me anywhere, it's a business within the state.

Congratulations! Hope you learn a lot. After the internship ends, make sure to chat with your professor about how it went. I'm sure he (she?) would love to hear your experience.
