Unfortunately, no, that doesn't help.

I've also tried


sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get update

... and then rerunning the sudo apt-get -f install command, with no change in the result.

Other ideas?

This may not be worth the ink I'm using to type it, but try going to synaptic, click "edit" and then select "fix broken packages". It may do the same thing as apt-get -f install. I'm not sure, but maybe it's worth a shot.

Nope, it just says immediately (fraction of a second) "fixed broken packages" and then I'm still not able to mark libgl1-mesa-dev for installation. Same dependency error.

Bug report time?

I definitely would. You may get lucky and be lead to a bug report that helps you find an answer too.
