Ubuntu 10.04 works fine for me. I was wondering if it was possible to install my computer's drivers like in windows and if it was even possible.

As mentioned, some clarification would be nice.

If you're talking about Windows drivers, then NO.

In what scenario would I need to install drivers?

If you needed to install proprietary drivers for your video card. If the driver didn't already exist in the kernel.
