Hello All! Like many of the crazy ideas with technology that float around in my head, I was pondering the question whether the HP TC4400 Tablet would support Ubuntu Netbook Remix. There was no better place to ask then here. If anyone has this working, or may know if it is compatible with touch-screen wireless, display, sound etc. Please let me know! If it turns out this works I may pick up one on eBay instead of getting the iPad 2.

The HP Tablet works almost flawlessly with Ubuntu. Can't seem to get screen "buttons" working, but wacom works fine. You have to look up wacom rotation to get that working but it's really not that hard. Some software I have found invaluable to my TC4400 experience is the following:

Cellwriter - for handwriting/virtual keyboard

Jarnal - is probably one of the best note taking apps (feature wise), although it's still no onenote replacement. Ah... if only basket had tablet support that might one day come close.

easystroke - is a great shortcut tool for stylus

magick-rotation - for auto rotation https://launchpad.net/magick-rotation

You can even get the fingerprint reader to work.
