I'm a big fan of the intro song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP9q2MFqDIA) for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

What bands would you recommend if I like this type of music?

Its an animation, but it has that kind of music throughout. I grew up watching this :)

It's slightly different, very little lyrics, but check out the Yoshida Brothers.
they're are Japanese brothers who play a traditional Japanese instrument called tht shamisen. It's pretty astounding.
