An HTC commercial had a camera peeping over the shoulder of an engineer, with Ubuntu on the screen. Terminal window was open, looked to be compiling away. That would indicate that HTC's custom modifications to Android are coded, at least partially, on Ubuntu.

A lot of big companies use Linux; however, they may be using Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and other distros rather than Ubuntu.

Chrome OS is a joint project between Canonical and Google. The base is 100% Ubuntu...
