Online TV Streams Database for mplayer

Hello,

I would like to know whether there is an open source made from the community that lists all the online tv streams, a sort of big database, so that all coders linux can access via wget and run their program to play TV.

Everyone could contribute posting a new stream to this mega open database.

Please make this for us Ubuntu ;)

Hi, a few years ago I wrote a program called STV that did this. I wrote it back when most tv companies used windows media for their video streams. Later on the TV companies started using flash solutions and my program became obsolete.

If there was a demand for it I suppose I could update it to support some other formats like flash video etc.
