Boot issue after new kernel install

Hello

I tried to apply some patches to Kernel 2.6.35.2 and compiled the kernel. The kernel compiled and installed fine but fails to boot. I get the error as show in the image while booting. Have no clue how to proceed.

Details : Im trying to port NCTUns to Ubuntu (which works on Fedora) and that needs some kernel patches to be applied provided by NCTUns.

After patching the kernel, it compiles fine and installs. But doesnt boot with the above mentioned error.
