need help with puppy 5.2 screen very dark how to brighten?

Hi all, well the title says it all, but to repeat... I downloaded and burned to cd a copy of lucid puppy 5.2. In the process of getting it to my hard drive I choose the wrong setting. Now the screen is very dark... too dark to read easily the instructions. I can't seem to find anyway to change the screen brightness. How is that done?

Also, I have attempted to install puppy to the hard drive but when I remove the cd it will not start.

I suppose I should have waited for the coffee to take effect before I installed puppy.

I just tried to change screen brightness using puppy setup. The x video tool show that screen is set to 100 %. So now what?
