So, I got this EMachine T7292 and I really want to use it for my Eagle Scout Project
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1676724
But the first thing I noticed when I got it was that there was no power supply. So I frankensteined a power supply out of one of my others and plugged it in. Then I noticed that there were no cables hooking up the drives so I plugged in some patas for the HD and cd/dvd drive and one of those stupid floppy drive ribbons. So after that I flipped the switch and nothing happened, not even the CPU fan gave a little spin like Dells do. Never working with an EMachine before, I figured they were like HPs so I then pressed the little power button on the front and of course nothing happened. I tried several different power supplies and none of um worked. I would really like to get this thing working cuz it has a somewhat respectable CPU (Celeron 2.7 GHz) and I have heard it runs Linux rather well. Please tell me that I forgot to do some stupid little thing and not that the motherboard is busted. All help of any kind would be greatly appreciated even if it is to tell me that the motherboard is broken. That way I can just start ripping the useful crap of off it.
