Currently I manage a large Windows domain with hundreds of XP desktops. I would like to install some older machines with Ubuntu to make them usable again (too slow on XP SP3 and our school cannot afford new computers at the moment).
Installing an Ubuntu desktop is not a problem for me, I've done this many many times before. Even joining the desktop to the Windows domain was a piece of cake using likewise-open. But ...
I cannot get the homedrives (that are on Windows 2003 servers) of the users to mount on login. Is there anybody who can provide a step-by-step tutorial to do this? I've been playing with pam mount xml configuration, but it just won't work.
Anybody? Please? This would give Ubuntu a big boost in our school.
