This needed a guide? Really? I'd rank Ubuntu's installer complexity 0/10. My cat could probably install Ubuntu.

It's not that simple, especially for people who don't spend alot of time playing around with computers. I'm a full time programmer and you would be amazed at some of the things I've seen people struggling with. It's not always easy for techy people to think in non-techy ways and viceversa. What is simple for you is not simple for everyone else.
