Hey all, I'm new, so mercy please :D
I've had windows for some time, I love it and I'm pretty safe with computers, so I thought I'd try something new. I've heard Ubuntu is really fast at booting web browsing etc, so I wanted to see.
My situation is, I have my current system HDD, which has Windows 7 64-bit on it. I want to leave this untouched.
I also have a spare 160GB HDD, which I currently use to store music. There's loads of space on it though. Can I install Ubuntu on this HD, from my current windows 7? I.E. No downloading isos and putting them on CDs :D
I know how to change the boot order of my HDD from my BIOS, I had 7 and XP on dual boot for a while.
Finally, is there anything crucial I need to know about Ubuntu the site might not have told me? No awkward setups/programming?
Cheers :D
