desktop version to netbook version upgrade

hi can i upgrade to netbook version from desktop version i am using ubuntu 9.04:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I don´t think so.You already use version witch is not supported any more.so it will be good choice to back up all your valuable data/files and install latest netbook version.

i downloaded latest ubuntu net book version but while installing it is showing some media error

Did you checked md5sum (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM) before you burned iso?Id md5sum is O.K. try to burn iso on lower possible speed and when you boot check disc for errors ( it is one of options in menu).If everything is fine go for install.

my cddrive was having some prob so i tried pendrive boot option and now its working thanks for ur help
