You take into consideration the mobile market and the server market? Anybody got any hard data on that one?

Pretty high, but on the desktop it's pretty low. Ubuntu is of course a desktop distro. Applications development is much faster on Android than it is on Ubuntu. Cannonical really need to find a way to benefit from that.

Well, if you consider that about 350 million embedded Linux devices are sold each year, then it is clear that Linux is the most successful OS ever, with an installed base of around 2.5 billion devices, vs about 1 billion Windows devices.
