Hello and help...
I have been running 10.04 LTS or a while now. Everything works.
Intalled 10.10 and everything seemed to go well. Rebooted, everything fine Ubuntu 10.10 and the dots. At some point prior to any access screen the screen goes bland and the input light to monitor go from green to yellow. If I shut the monitor off and back on, momentarily I will see the login screen and then monitor goes off.
This system an old Sylvania F50 monitor and a built in ATI Rage graphics worked perfectly previously.
Grub loader came up and I used the recovery move. I chose set graphics to failsafe mode (which by the way is exactly perfect) and then it gives the option to run it for one session.
I don't have the knowledge to know how to tell it that whatever the failsafe settings are, that they are what I want to boot to forever. It is probably a simple fix, that escapes me.
Thanks for any assistance.
