A while ago, meta geek released inSSIDer 2 for linux, however it was not compatible with Ubuntu 10.04LTS. This tutorial intends to show you how to install it in Ubuntu 10.04 http://tekkidd.tumblr.com/post/3932988369/install-inssider-2-alpha-in-ubuntu-10-04

The way t have ii to work in ubuntu 10.04 is to get:

inssider_0.1.0.0111_i386.deb (https://github.com/downloads/metageek-llc/inSSIDer-2-Cross-Platform/inssider_0.1.0.0111_i386.deb)

not the inssider_0.1.0.0429_i386.deb (https://github.com/downloads/metageek-llc/inSSIDer-2-Cross-Platform/inssider_0.1.0.0111_i386.deb)

I feel like I must be missing something very elementary, but having (I believe) followed all the appropriate instructions regarding badgerports and all that, I get the following error when trying to install (with sudo dpkg -i inssider_0.1.1.0429_i386.deb)

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of inssider:
inssider depends on libgtk2.0-cil (>= 2.12.10); however:
Version of libgtk2.0-cil on system is 2.12.9-4.
how to get around this??

(the inssider_0.1.0.0111_i386.deb package seems to no longer be available from github)

Thanks!
