I made the mistake of installing libgtk2 files of a version meant for Maverick on my Lucid and that broke a few things. I would like to downgrade back to the Lucid version. Tried a couple of ways, with Synaptic (Force Version) and apt-get ("apt-get -s install libgtk2.0-0=2.20.0-0ubuntu4"), and both give me a warning of a long list of things that will be removed alongside, such as Compiz, Nautilus, Evolution, etc. How can I downgrade without all of these other things being removed?
