I have just installed LUbuntu on a machine, mostly to try it out.
I have been trying to setup a global proxy, but there doesn't appear to be an option for that. I have changed the /etc/wgetrc file to enable the proxy & set the proxy in there, but this has not helped. Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers

There are three posts on the Ubuntu Forums about that and there is also information at the Lubuntu Wiki.

I simply use the Ubuntu Proxy site/URL:
http://ubuntuproxy.info/index.php
I hope that helps some.

Thanks. I am not using it at present, but may look at Lubuntu on the next release.
Info is useful though.
