When installing the "restricted extras" in Ubuntu 10.10 my terminal screen freezes on the EULA screen and won't go any further... Anyone got an idea what I'm doin' wrong?...

Here's what I'm running:

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
Here's what I wind up with:

Package configuration

You can push OK to this screen. After this you will get a screen with Yes and No, where you can stop these fonts from being installed.

Go down to the page with pgdown where you see 'OK' then hit right arrow to put the cursor on it. After that left and right arrow to chose between yes and no.
Just ran into the same problem as You did, and Google found your question...
I just installed Ubuntu 1 week ago... ;-):P

I finally found the problem... My KVM switch doesn't for some reason like my current setup... Once I plugged a keyboard straight in everything worked like it should...

Thank you so much, I would have never guessed to press right arrow.

Thanks for the right arrow answer. I would NEVER have thought of that.

I'm coming back to Ubuntu again. The Natty Narwhal is very different from ver 8. Frankly, the user support here is really good. Already I've been able to get past two difficulties tonight.

Thanks again.

I think we'll let this one rest now. Closed.
