View Full Version : [ubuntu] Radiance theme sometimes working; sometimes not

I'm using the radiance theme in ubuntu 10.10, maverick meerkat. When it goes right, it looks like this:
186427
186428

But often when I login I get the radiance window borders with other icons, menus and colors:
186429
186430

Anyone got an idea what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that does indeed describe the same problem. But after 22 pages of forum posts: no solution :-(.

But it seems that when it occurs, I can resolve the issue by killing and restarting gnome-settings-daemon. Annoying, but at least I won't have to hurt my eyes anymore looking at the ugly default theme :-/.

I was not affected by this to my knowledge , but I rarely use the ambiance or radiance themes. I may not have had them installed long enough .
