So, I tried to upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04 a few months back and the install did not go well. I don't know what happened, but I'm getting a screen of text saying:

"/lib/udev/udev-configure-printer: relocation error: /usr/lib/libkrb5.so.3: symbol krb5_hmac, version k5rypto_3_MIT not defined in file libk5crypto.so.3 with link time reference"

Any ideas how to fix this?
(Also, please use idiot speak. I haven't touched any version of Linux in a while.)

If you have the facility, then you can download 10.04.2, burn a Live or Alternate Ubuntu CD, restart your computer so that it boots from the optical drive and try to (menu option) rescue the broken installation that's giving you errors.
