I'm running Meerkat, updated as of two weeks ago, and just minutes ago checked for the latest updates. What's all this Avahi networking modules in the updates? I'm running Wicd and have had zero problems with it. Will taking all these Avahi "updates" break Wicd... and maybe everything else? ;)
