Hi,

I was using Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop on a Acer Aspire One 753 without any issue. Then a wanna try Ubuntu 10.10 netbook. I started on the USB key and use it some times, everythings alright. So I install (overwriting ubuntu 10.04 desktop) and restart my laptop.

First I need to login in console mode OK
Then this error message appear :"your cpu appears to be lacking expected security protections". I don't find the BIOS option to clear this error but I read in different thread that this error may not prevent ubuntu to work well, right ?

So I wait 30-40s and the screen turn black... I still ear the HD working but nothing else append... I can't do anything else than restart the laptop...

What's wrong ? Any idea ?

EDIT : The exact name of my laptop : Acer Aspire One 753Series Model N° MS2296
