same here (also Dapper,firefox,mplayer)
But the current version of firefox in Dapper is 1.5.0.2 :)

OK, now i can see it, just delete totem plugin and install mplayer.

One more question... is there a way to have the played embbed into the web page. Now it open a window where the video is played.

I anwser myself. To force embbeded of player must be comment out the line:
noembed=0 in /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf
