I am using mythbuntu 10.10 with the stock xfce 4 window manager.
After doing a large update and making some other changes, I noticed that the cursor would vanish after a while. It seemed to be ok at first but when using firefox, at some point if I moused over into the desktop background, the cursor would vanish, never to return. I could still move it around and see items in the menu bar light up but many functions are impossible.
I had made the mistake of installing mythbuntu with a jfs file system after reading on the mythtv site that other filesystems had problems deleting very large files. This precluded using a live disk to go in and look at the xorg.conf file or any logs. In frustration I gave up and reinstalled. There has to be a better way!
Any suggestions to fixing this if/when it shows up again?
