Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) installation problems

I want to install Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) for Linux on ubuntu 10.10 but the installation failed.
Is there a guide how to install oracle db in ubuntu ?

Personally I have not performed an Oracle 11gR2 installation on Ubuntu so far. I only got as far as installing Oracle 11gR2 on Redhat 5.5 64-bit.
So instead of offering my installation steps for Redhat 5.5, it may be more helpful to point you to this article: Installing Oracle 11gR2 on Ubuntu 9.10 (http://mikesmithers.wordpress.com/2010/03/14/installing-oracle-11gr2-on-ubuntu-9-10/). -And yes, I did notice that you are on Ubuntu 10.10, not 9.10.

Interestingly enough, I have not managed to locate an installation instruction for Debian or Ubuntu on the Oracle support pages, formerly known as Metalink.
