View Full Version : [SOLVED] How to not display desktop icon text?

Just was wondering, and couln't find the thread anywhere else. Is there a way to just have the icon shortcuts to applications on the desktop without displaying the file type extension or the file name itself? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Using Gnome Ubuntu 10.10

never mind found it, sorry for post

Open gconf-editor, and go to apps>nautilus>preferences and change the desktop font to 0 (eg. change it from Sans 10 to Sans 0), then there's no text visible.
