how to install guitarix?

Hi, I have downloaded guitarix from sourceforge. I opened the readme and it says to enter ./waf configure; i'm assuming into terminal. I don't understand how to install this. I've searched for more info but I'm clueless on the instructions given. Can someone lead me through a step by step process???

I have ardour and jack control installed.

Have you tried installing it through synaptic? Unless I installed it through autostatic's PPA (can't really remember right now), I'm sure it was in the 10.04 repo's.
what version of ubuntu r u using?

can I suggest you try these instructions (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/guitarix-a-simple-linux-rock-guitar-amplifier-for-jack.html#more-7511) instead of compiling the source.

thanks for the responses...i'm using Ubuntu 10.10. Will that work with the instructions provided.
