I have a laptop that has Ubuntu 10.10 on it and when I hit ctl+alt+mouse1 to show the cube the cube is very dark, and I cant find the setting to make it brighter.
Can any one help?

Found the setting under General Options/Display Settings. I unchecked Lighting.
Now on my desktop this is check and I have not problems but my desktop has 768MB video ram as to where my laptop has 128MB video ram.
